The Berlin SingerExchange that takes place every six months has become a Berlin Institution so to speak. It is sufficiently known that she offers young talents the opportunity to present themselves on popular stages.. But not everybody knows by now, that there is a CD available that documents all the highlights of that exchange.

The project of the singer and music teacher went on stage for the 9th time this year. A well-tried concept you could say. which unfortunately is financially depending on others. That is why the quality of the takes is not as professional as those CDs you buy in a store but still the essential elements are very clear, especially the vocals. As attendant bands are adequately in the background- throughout well known musicians from the Berlin jazz scene, but the focus a usual is on the singers. The Compilation-CD allows a deep look inside into the qualities of the "not jet stars", it shows reality, their weakness and muddle, but especially their talent and their training.
The repertoire of the piece go from Ray Hendersons evergreen "Bye Bye Blackbird" - extraordinary: Eva Spagna, normally singer of "..e la luna" - up to pure chanson material up to Antonio L. Jobims "How Insensitive". - By the way, Guido Spars is the only man that managed to appear at their CD.- The intention is to high lighten the partly enormous spectrum of voices and the venture, the flippancy and sentimentality and to scoop them as well as toughness and unambiguity .
For enthusiasts which want to stay "at the pulse of the scene" and regular visitors of the SingerExchange can win this live recording!
